GWR Official Statement

It has been brought to the attention of Guinness World Records that 11-year-old Michelito Lagravere’s recent killing of six calves in a bullfight in Merida, Mexico will be submitted to Guinness World Records for recognition as a potential world record.

Guinness World Records was not aware that this event was taking place, and will not recognise the result. We do not accept records based on the killing or harming of animals.

  • I also joined here to sing your praises! Thank you for not accepting something so atrocious as the slaughter of animals as though it were laudable. You have taken the largest stand for animal rights. The last thing we need is for mankind to begin a killing spree to top this act of injustice.
    Again, my sincerest thanks!

  • I just wanted to say thank you, and let you know i think very highly of your decision not to support the cruel torture and death of innocent animals, thank you for not supporting these bull fights that need to end, you are helping to make a huge change, and making a bold statement as well. It is a cruel and unnecessary sport and i would have been very dissapointed to have seen any record of such in your books. Thank You!!!
