Patterson Received Record for the “Most Entries on The New York Times Best-Seller List”
NEW YORK – June 1st, 2009 – Internationally acclaimed and best selling author James Patterson received the Guinness World Record for the “Most Entries on The New York Times Best-Seller List” at BookExpo America on Saturday, May 30th. Author of 31 #1 New York Times hardcover bestselling novels, Patterson has topped the fiction and non-fiction charts with 45 of his titles including 1st to Die, Honeymoon and Cross.
“Patterson’s success is a bright spot in the publishing world,” said Craig Glenday, Editor-in-Chief at Guinness World Records. “He’s a prolific writer who has been able to deliver quality work with astounding consistency throughout the years.”
Patterson’s books have received major literary prizes along with successful television and film adaptations including Along Came a Spider and Kiss the Girls, which stars Morgan Freeman as Alex Cross. Patterson also published two top-selling series for young readers, Maximum Ride and The Dangerous Days of Daniel X. On June 29th, Patterson will release his newest novel – Swimsuit.
