‘If you can’t take the heat, get out of the kitchen,’ goes the classic proverb: South Florida-based Global TV Concepts did exactly that…and much more.

Prior to the 3 October event, Global TV Concepts president Laurie Braden approached Alethea Hickman, executive pastry chef of Boca Raton bakery 'Passion for Pastry', with a sweet idea for how to draw attention to – as well as raise money for - breast cancer research, screening and treatment: sell portions of the largest cupcake on the planet!

Global TV Concept’s 596.47-kg (1315.2-lb) colossal cupcake became greater than just dessert, as moments before the second annual THINK PINK ROCKS fundraising concert began, the treat was wheeled out for assessment by Guinness World Records™ adjudicator Danny Girton Jr., who found the cupcake really was a world beater.

Throughout the THINK PINK ROCKS concert, dozens of people donated money in exchange for a piece of the prized pink cupcake, which was reduced to crumbs by evening's end.

The THINK PINK ROCKS concert was launched in 2008 by Stephanie Robin, a cancer-fighter who founded Think Pink in  2005 as an organization dedicated to cancer research, treatment, and screening.
