The most lottery prizes given in one year

On 30 October, Guinness World Records™ was present in Mexico City to present Pronósticos para la Asistencia Pública with the new world record for the Most lottery prizes given in one year.

Pronósticos para la Asistencia Pública is a public Mexican government decentralized entity with the goal of raising funds for public assistance through lotteries and contests.

Guinness World Records Adjudicator, Carlos Martínez, visited to the Pronósticos para la Asistencia Pública headquarters to publicly announce in press conference the details of this new world record.

This is the second world record achieved by Pronósticos para la Asistencia Pública in the last months, as they recently organized the record for the Most people on Space Hoppers: http://community.guinnessworldrecords.com/_Most-people-on-Space-Hoppers/blog/467296/7691.html

The General Director of Pronósticos para la Asistencia Pública, Adolfo Blanco Tatto, received the Guinness World Records official certificate and mentioned the importance and his satisfaction for being recognized as the world leaders in prize-giving.

For this particular record, Guinness World Records considered the prizes given during the year 2008. The total amount was: 97,909447 prizes beating all previously known records. These prizes converted into 4,217,000 MXN (193,243,000 GBP) during 2008.

These prizes were distributed through the following games:

-         Melate y Revancha
-         Tris
-         Chispazo
-         Progol
-         Rápidos
