Does anyone know how this GWR web site works?
2009 Are there any woodworkers out there?

I’m sort of the back woodsy sort of fellow, and I truly want to keep the ole arts, crafts, and technologies alive. It really distorts me to know that so much knowledge is being lost. Although there may be books on the subject, unless someone keeps it alive {someone that has the hands on knowledge} ‘the knowledge will die and be lost forever’! There is an immense difference in the written word and the knowledge of having the personal practical experience.
I love the ole school hand operated woodworking tools and human powered machinery. I refer to them as the Y2K friendly tools. It really bothers me to know that these tools are in land fields and are being thrown away or left to the elements decaying, or in some old barn, or building, or pile of rubble. Just knowing that they are going to waist and ruin is more than I can bear. I have very precious few of them myself and would love to add tremendously to my collection.
I like the Woodrights shop and Mr. Roy Underhill. This style of woodworking is (to me) the best in the world and is true craftsmanship and quality. It’s getting back to the basics, back to the ole world technique and the ole school of wood working.
